The pharmacy technician program is offered at seven of the ten Apollo campuses, including Albuquerque, Boise, Mesa, Phoenix, Portland, Spokane, and Tucson. Although at different campuses, the program remains the same with a common goal of preparing students to enter into a career as a pharmacy technician. The program focuses on such skills as reading prescriptions, medical terminology, dosages, administration routes, IV preparation, and even issues related to patient care, law, and ethics. Throughout the program students also learn how to dispense drugs, chart medication, and understand how to effectively assist the licensed pharmacist. Students learn in and out of the classroom in both lectures and hands-on laboratory experience to become effective in the work place. Small class sizes and professional instructors are also provided at Apollo.

Graduates may take advantage of the school's on-campus career services department that works with the student for effective job placement. Staff of the career services department is skilled to assist students with interviewing techniques, resume building, proper work attire, communication skills, employer follow-up, and leadership. Both students and alumni may take advantage of the career services department offerings.

Entrance to the pharmacy technician program involves an informational meeting and assessment with an admissions representative of the college. Potential students are required to have graduated from high school or possess a GED certificate. Students must be at least age 18 or have parental consent upon enrollment.
