The programs at Everest College of Business, Technology, and Health Care include dental assistant, medical assisting, medical office administrative assistant, nursing, nursing aide, surgical technology, pharmacy technician, accounting, business administration, criminal justice, paralegal, medical billing, homeland security, and marketing.
The Pharmacy Technician program at Everest is designed to teach students the job duties and functions of an entry-level pharmacy technician that can provide pharmacist support in diverse medical settings. Graduates are encouraged to sit for the national pharmacy certification examination to become certified pharmacy techs. Students learn fundamental skills and knowledge such as pharmacology, anatomy and physiology, compounding, prescription drug preparation, customer service, medical billing, procurement, sterilization, and pharmacy information technology systems. Students are also required to complete an externship where they spend time working alongside pharmacy technicians and licensed pharmacists learning the job and applying the principles they learned in the classroom.
Graduates also receive student services in the form of job placement. Placement skills such as resume writing, interviewing, and job search skills are stressed in order to increase the students' opportunity of receiving a job.
