Everest College

Everest College has several locations throughout North America and specializes in occupation training programs with the goal of entry-level employment. Everest College utilizes a wide variety of learning modalities such as traditional on-campus programs, online programs, and a mixture of online and on-campus. Everest currently has campus locations in 24 states. Each campus location is fully accredited to practice as an institution of higher learning within the region that it operates. Everest offers several dozen programs in the health care, business, and information technology industries. Not all programs are offered at every location and may include medical assisting, medical office assistant, dental assisting, medical billing, nursing, pharmacy technology, paralegal, accounting, business, and trades.

Everest maintains an open door admissions policy. Students are required to meet with an admissions representative for an interview as well as a career planning session to help them decide which program is best for them. Students are also required to have a valid high school diploma or GED and complete an admission application.

Everest also helps students outside of the classroom by offering a full menu of student services. Advisors are on hand for both online and campus programs to help students navigate through the Everest system. Advisors can help students with skills such as study habits, test taking, time management, course selection, and general questions.

The Pharmacy Technician program is taught with the goal of helping students grasp the fundamental skills needed to become an entry level pharmacy technician. The learning is didactic in nature, which means students will participate in hands-on learning as the main way to learn course information. The externship at a local pharmacy gives the student the opportunity to learn on the job and master what was taught in class.
