Everest University

Everest University is made up of several colleges each sharing the same name and consists of a number of campuses scattered throughout the United States and Canada. Everest University offers degree programs in a wide variety of health care-related programs and degree options that include associate's, bachelor's, and master's degrees. The pharmacy technician program at Everest University consists largely of academics but also of equal importance are the clinical portions. Coursework and laboratory clinical studies include pharmacy administration, pharmaceutical calculations, anatomy and physiology, nutritional studies, body systems (including digestive, respiratory, and reproductive systems), medical terminology, pharmacology, and health care systems. Practical skills such as customer service, communication, leadership, interpersonal relations, patient interaction, and compassion are also emphasized. Students become strong in the area of mathematical skills and calculations and learn how to count and weigh medications. Upon graduation of the program students become employable at hospital pharmacies, retail and wholesale pharmacies, medical care centers, convalescent care centers, and skilled nursing facilities.

The admissions process at Everest University is simple and stress free. The enrollment process consists of a campus tour, application completion, career placement assessment, and the completion of the student financing process. Financial planners are available for the latter step of the admissions process. Students then become eligible to enroll in classes. During the campus tour, question and answer sessions may take place and potential students are encouraged to bring along their significant others or family members to assist with the decision making.

Everest University offers a career services department to its students and alumni which is professionally staffed. The career services center offers job search software, resume building workshops, and externship assistance.
