Harris School of Business
Harris School of Business offers more than simply business courses at their career-focused campuses, and provides diplomas and degrees in such fields as medical assisting, nursing, surgical technician, massage therapy, health claims specialist, and pharmacy technician. The pharmacy technician program is offered at the school's Linwood, New Jersey campus – one of seven area campuses. Located throughout southern New Jersey and northern Delaware, Harris School of Business offers career-driven programs to its student body. All campuses are accredited independently through either the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges or the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools.

The pharmacy technician program at Harris School is offered only at the Linwood, New Jersey campus, located at 1201 New Road. The Linwood campus also provides educational programs in health claims specialist, massage therapy, professional medical assistant, legal office technology, and computerized accounting technology. The popular pharmacy technician program trains students to assist licensed pharmacists in providing pharmaceutical drugs and health care products to pharmacy patients. Students learn how to work alongside the head pharmacist and how to function in the daily routine at a pharmacy. Many students of the program see the pharmacy technician credentials as a stepping stone toward an advanced career in pharmacy. Some students choose to go on to a four-year institution and graduate school to pursue a degree in pharmacy after gaining hands-on experience at Harris School of Business.
The pharmacy technician program at Harris offers an externship during the student's last term at the school. The on-campus career services center provides placement for these non-paid positions. Students are required to complete an externship prior to graduation. During the externship, students gain real-life experience in a retail pharmacy or hospital setting which in turn enhances the student's employability. The career services department provides information on available externships during the student's last year at the school.
