Founded as a post-war training center in 1946, Lincoln Technical Institute has grown into a national and state accredited career college that focuses on training students in a wide variety of specific career paths. Lincoln currently has 22 locations spread out over seven states including Connecticut, Florida, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Philadelphia, and Rhode Island. Lincoln offers a variety of career path options in the fields of Automotive, Health Sciences, Business, Information Technology, Skilled Trades, Spa and Cosmetology, and Culinary Arts. Lincoln is fully authorized by the United States Department of Education to award diplomas, certificates, associate's degrees, and bachelor's degrees. All programs are designed to enhance the employability of each student. Gainful employment within the desired field is the main goal for all programs.

The Pharmacy Tech program at Lincoln fully prepares students to become a Pharmacy Technician upon graduation. Pharmacy Technicians work in a variety of health care settings such as hospitals, clinics, physician's offices, elderly care homes, and of course pharmacies. The program instructs students to learn to properly dispense medication under the direct supervision of a pharmacist. Students also learn basic pharmacology, inventory control, insurance billing, patient records, and health care rules and regulations as they relate to pharmacies. Students also get the opportunity to put to use the skills learned in the classroom and lab by completing an externship at an approved medical facility. Upon graduation from the program students are eligible to sit for the national Pharmacy Technician exam to become certified Pharmacy Techs.
To further enhance employment opportunities Lincoln Tech provides all students with job placement assistance and career building skills. Each campus has a dedicated career services center that provides students with networking opportunities, job postings in their major, resume writing workshops, mock interviews, and how to dress for success. If students are unsure of their career path, career staff can also help students find the right career path that is suitable for them.
