Milan Institute has campus locations throughout the United States including Texas, California, Idaho, and Nevada. There are a total of eight Milan Institute campus locations. The programs at Milan are designed to be completed in an efficient manner with the goal of students obtaining employment near the end or immediately upon graduation. Each program focuses on teaching students the proper skills and knowledge required to successfully complete the job duties of their given field of study. Milan attempts to make programs as flexible as possible to accommodate the various schedules and commitments of their students.
The Pharmacy Technician program at Milan offers students the opportunity to be a health care service provider while working alongside pharmacists and directly with customers. Pharmacy technician students are taught to properly dispense medication, work with insurance companies for billing and customer service issues, compute numbers using pharmacy math, control inventory levels and flow, serve customers, and be a vital member of a health care team. An important part of the program at Milan is the required internship that gives the student real world learning opportunities. Upon successful completion of the Pharmacy Technician program students can sit for the national certification exam to become certified.
To apply for admission at Milan students must have a high school diploma or a GED and fill out an admissions application. Milan Institute also offers full spectrum job placement services including career assessment, networking, resume writing, and interviewing.
