TESST College of Technology classes use an innovative curriculum that stresses the job specific skills that students need to master their chosen major. Everything that is learned in the classroom can be directly applied to tasks that will be done on the job. The goal for all TESST College of Technology graduates is to receive employment in the job that they have been studying. Classes are designed to be flexible so students can continue with all of their responsibilities such as family and work while simultaneously getting their education.
TESST provides students with a wide array of services outside of the classroom. Not only is it important to learn the specific skills needed for the job, but it is equally important to learn transferable skills such as interviewing, resume writing, and professional conduct. TESST College of Technology teaches students these life skills through their job placement services to increase the chance of employment. Although TESST cannot guarantee employment for people who use these services, they are much more likely to get a job in a shorter amount of time than the students who do not.
The Pharmacy Technician program at TESST imparts to students skills such as preparing prescriptions, mixing, cutting, and measuring medication, sterilizing equipment, tracking and ordering supplies and medication using pharmacy information systems, billing insurance companies, and providing customer service. Graduates of TESST pharmacy programs are ready to work in a wide variety of health care settings.
