Tri-State Business Institute offers several dozen programs in industries such as information technology, business administration, accounting, marketing, management, office administration, health and fitness, and health care. The programs are designed to be offered at flexible times to accommodate the varying schedules of the students. Programs can be completed on a part time or full time basis depending on the specific situation of the learner. Because of the flexibility of the programs students can usually work and care for their families while attending Tri-State Business Institute.
The Pharmacy Technician program at TSBI is designed to teach students the skills they will need to become and entry level pharmacy technician. The classroom and laboratory training focus on skill building through hands-on learning. The curriculum was designed with the assistance of actual professionals in the field. Many of the faculty members also have real world experience working in the profession they are teaching. Skills learned in the program include measuring and dispensing prescription drugs under the supervision of a pharmacist, preparing prescriptions, ordering prescriptions and medical supplies, providing customer service, and working with insurance companies.
Beside classroom instruction students also receive assistance obtaining a job in their field. Students have opportunities to network with several of the employers that have relationship with TSBI, learn how to search for jobs via the internet, write successful resumes and cover letters, and learn how to conduct a winning job interview.
