YTI Career Institute
YTI Career Institute is a private career-focused training school that specializes in career training programs designed to help students gain occupational skills to obtain entry level employment. YTI was founded in 1967 by local business people to train entry level draftsmen in York Pennsylvania. Today YTI Career Institute serves the communities of south-central Pennsylvania and northern Maryland. YTI is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges of Technology, which is a recognized accrediting agency by the United States Department of education. YTI is also licensed by the State Board of Private Licensed Schools and Pennsylvania Department of Education.

YTI has grown to a total of five campuses and currently has locations in the Pennsylvania towns of Altoona, Mechanicsburg, Lancaster, and York. The school offers programs in business, accounting, management, golf course management, CAD, computer security, criminal justice, first response medical, culinary arts, pastry arts, dental assisting, health information technology, massage therapy, medical administrative assistant, medical coding, pharmacy technician, electronics engineering, electrical technician, HVAC, and motorsports technology. YTI awards associate degrees and diplomas in the above areas.
The YTI Pharmacy Technician program is a twelve month diploma program offered at the Altoona and Capital Region campuses. The program is a total of 63 credits. Students will learn skills and knowledge such as how to prepare prescriptions for patients, how to build and maintain patient medical files, how to manufacture injections using correct aseptic techniques, how to compound medications, how to use pharmacy information technology systems for entering insurance data, patient information, and prescription data.
